Community-led development must be inclusive and advocate for the most vulnerable.  WEEMA is committed to these principles.  

Women's Self Help Groups

In partnership with the local Office of Women's Affairs, WEEMA has established a network of 112 women's groups that allow women's voices to be heard.  Our groups save money, build their own infrastructure and wield political influence.

CLEAN COOKSTOVES

In the communities where we work, potters are some of the most marginalized members of the society.  WEEMA's clean cookstove initiative specifically focuses on empowering this group.

Disability Offices

Change needs to occur within systems.  As part of WEEMA's commitment to "Leave No One Behind," we supported the development of disability departments at the district and village government levels.  Serving people living with disabilities is now part of the local political agenda.
