THE FACTS

1. Women and girls in Ethiopia spend up to 4 hours a day collecting water, with full jerry cans weighing more than 40lbs.
2. Over 60% of people living in rural Ethiopia still do not have access to clean water.
3. Lack of access to clean water contributes to large-scale health problems, keeps girls out of school, and makes it nearly impossible for women to have economic earning power.
