WHAT WE DO

ABOUT

Our mission is to empower Ethiopian communities through clean water access, education, economic opportunity and health care – all driven by local leadership and community collaboration.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

  • 2,000 women in self help groups
  • 70 beekeepers trained in modern techniques and formed 3 honey cooperatives
  • 58 potters trained to make clean cookstoves
  • Raised awareness for people living with disabilities

WATER

  • 60,000 people with clean water
  • Constructed 24 miles of new pipeline
  • Built 19 new water points
  • Repaired 3 old systems
  • Replaced 2 water pumps

EDUCATION

  • 800 students in 3 new kindergartens
  • 1 public library
  • 4 high school upgrades
  • Pilot program with digital learning
  • Art and sport supplies delivered 

MEDICAL

  • 2,000 people cured from cataract blindness
  • 40 solar lights installed in delivery rooms
  • 36 health workers taught Essential Newborn Care
  • Support only OB/GYN in KT Zone
  • Provided 3 doctors, 3 anesthesia nurses and 6 scrub nurses c-section training
  • 5 women sponsored at Hamlin College of Midwives and now working in rural health centers
  • Pilot mHealth program with community health workers
