WEEMA partnered with our friends at Ready Set Go Books to deliver ten different easer reader stories to Ethiopian schools and libraries. The books- written in English, Amharic, and the local dialect of Tembarsa- allow kids to learn to read and interact with all three languages. Amazingly, these are the very first children's books written in Tembarsa and the kids and teachers are beyond thrilled!
Last spring, 750 of these books were delivered to WEEMA kindergartens and libraries, and the feedback has been terrific. The children are loving their new stories, and educators are loving the learning.
