Creating a simple solution to a 'heavy' issue led the Warbotics Team to victory in the Minnesota State LEGO league competition.

The Warbotics Team, a group of middle school students in Warroad, Minnesota, were working with WEEMA to help make safe, clean water more accessible to communities in Ethiopia by designing a harness to aid women in Ethiopia who carry heavy jerry cans full of water to their homes.

The team designed a harness and brought the prototype to life. They entered it in the state competition and beat 640 teams to claim a first place victory.

Warbotics will be attending the FIRST LEGO League World Festival in Detroit, Michigan in April! There they will share the mission of WEEMA with 108 teams from around the world while they compete to be the world champions.
